Frequently Asked Questions

How discreet will you be?

At Swiftly we offer you convenience and confidentiality. We’ll visit your property when it’s most convenient for you and we won’t advertise the purpose of our visit to your neighbours. Our discussions with you will be completely confidential. We take data protection seriously and we can assure you that at no time will any of your details be passed on to a third party without your prior agreement.

Unlike estate agents, we don’t place For Sale or Sold boards outside your property. We hope that you’ll be so happy with our service that you wouldn’t hesitate to recommend us to your friends, relatives and neighbours (we even pay you £500 if we buy a house from your referral!) but we understand that you may wish your house sale to be completely private.

I’m about to be repossessed, can these proceedings be stopped?

It may not be too late to help you, please act quickly and contact us now. We operate an out of hours service so call us now on 0789 000 2169. Alternatively you can email us at or fill in the contact form and we’ll give you a call promptly.

How long will the sale take?

We will do our utmost to achieve your ideal completion date. Typically the sale of a property takes 4-6 weeks, but it could be as little as 2 – 3 weeks.

I’m a landlord with a problem property – can you help me?

Whether you have a whole portfolio of properties, or just one that has become a headache, why not fill out the contact form now and we’ll call you to see how we can help.

What if I can’t move out quickly?

Let us know when you want to move and we’ll fit in with your diary.

The thought of all the paperwork makes my head hurt, can you help?

Absolutely, we know how you feel! You only need to sign an agreement with us and complete the usual legal documents associated with the conveyance (property sale).  We can help you with this and will work with the solicitor and your existing lender to take care of all the formalities on your behalf.

Do I need a solicitor?

Yes. The legal formalities need to be completed by a solicitor acting on your behalf and we are happy to arrange a solicitor for you. We pay for your legal fees on the sale of your property.

Are there any legal fees or hidden charges?

No.  There are no fees for valuations and we pay for your legal fees on the sale of your property. What we offer you is what you will get, less any outstanding mortgage or loans on your property. We can arrange to settle these on your behalf, following the sale.

Can you give me any financial advice or offer me a re-mortgage or loan?

We’re afraid not, instead we recommend that you contact an independent financial advisor who is regulated by the FCA (Financial Conduct Authority).

How do you calculate the value of my property?

We have access to professional valuation software to enable us to make an accurate valuation of your property. We will take your views into account along with what we know about the local market.

What if my house needs repairs or refurbishment?

At Swiftly we love to refurbish properties and bring them back to their former glory so are happy to consider all properties irrespective of their age or condition. The Swiftly team will work with you to evaluate the work needed and as a result provide you with a realistic sale price.

I don’t have any equity in my property, can you still help me?

We may be able to offer you a number of different solutions for your property woes. Get in touch with us now and see what we can do to help you.

Will I get full market value for my property?

In certain circumstances we may be able to offer you full market value for your property, however in most cases we will offer you a trade price, typically 75-85% of the market value, to reflect the swiftness of the sale.

How quickly will I get an offer?

Initially we will speak to you on the phone and ask you some questions about your property. We will make you an offer when we view your property. If for any reason we need to carry out a more thorough appraisal of your property or make additional checks then we aim to get back to you within 24 hours. Call us now on 0789 000 2169 or request a call back through our contact form.

Will I be under any obligation if I request a valuation?

You will be under no obligation whatsoever and we do not use high-pressured sales techniques. Accept our offer only if you are happy with it and the service we can provide you.

Anytime! We operate an out of hours service so find out how we can help you by contacting us now on 0789 000 2169. Alternatively you can email us at or fill in the contact form and we’ll give you a call.
